We strongly encourage parents/carers to visit the Pre-School before enrolment to meet the staff and see a session in action. Before your child starts, you will be asked to complete an 'All About Me' form so we can get to know a little bit more about your child and their hobbies and interests before they start.

On the first day your child starts Pre-School, we ask that you to stay for the session. This helps the settling in process for your child and enables us to carry out a parent induction. The induction is designed to enable you to get to know the staff in session and give you an idea of how the Pre-School works and what you and your child can expect. It also allows both you and your child to share their in first experience of Pre-School.
Staff are available at the end of sessions to informally share with parents any successes or concerns their child may have had that day. We publish a half-termly newsletter to parents, involve parents in fund-raising, and invite all parents to join our Pre-School committee. We encourage parents to become involved in their children's learning and in the past, some of parents have come in to the setting to talk to the children about their occupations; help with cooking; help with gardening and some have shared their musical talents, bringing in instruments for the children to try. We also organise an annual end of year trip which all parents are invited to join.

We encourage parents to share their child's successes outside of Pre-School so we can share in their achievements. We also send home travelling animals and books for the child to share with their parent/carer.

Every week, the planning is sent out to parents on request. Parents’ evenings are held regularly, when parents can discuss their child’s progress with their key worker in a relaxed and confidential setting.
